Everything you need to know before booking your stay at Le Hameau des Pouyades — self-catering cottages (gîtes) in Magnac-Laval, Haute-Vienne (Limousin), beside a 9-hectare fishing lake, with a covered heated pool.

Le Hameau des Pouyades is made up of 13 gîtes of different sizes, suited to everything from a single family to a large group gathering for a weekend or a week. Our rates vary according to the size of the gîte and the season. They are shown excluding tourist tax and optional extras.

The rate covers the number of people indicated; each additional person (up to the maximum capacity) is charged €10 per night.

 Reception hall (up to 90 people): €650 for 1 night, €1,000 for 2 nights. Booking the hall requires renting a minimum of 8 gîtes.

•        Low season: 5 January to 3 April, and 2 November to 18 December

•       Mid season: 4 April to 3 July, 29 August to 1 November, and 19 December to 4 January

•       High season: 4 July to 28 August

Every rental includes, at no extra charge:

•       access to the covered, heated pool (open from Easter to All Saints' Day, i.e. early April to early November);

•       access to the grounds, the 9-hectare lake and the hamlet's relaxation areas;

•       water, electricity and heating;

•       Wi-Fi;

•       on-site parking.

•       Comfort option (beds made on arrival + bath towels provided): €12 per 90 cm bed, €19 per 160 cm bed

•       End-of-stay cleaning option: €100 per stay

•       Additional person (beyond the included capacity): €10 per person per night

•       Baby kit: free, on request

•       Pets: accepted on request, €3 per animal per day

•       Fishing: free for children under 12; €40 per adult for the whole stay, night fishing included (or €9 per day)

•       Tourist tax: €0.88 per night per adult (fixed rate, departmental share included)

Linen is not included by default: please bring your own, or choose the comfort option.

For peace of mind when you book, we offer two cancellation insurance options, calculated on the total amount of your booking:

•       With supporting documents (illness, accident, valid reason…): 4% of the booking amount

•       Without supporting documents (cancellation for any reason): 7% of the booking amount

A security deposit of €400 per gîte is required on arrival, by cheque or credit card. It is returned to you after your departure, once the check-out inventory has been completed.

•       Arrival (check-in): from 4 pm

•       Departure (check-out): before 11 am

•       Minimum length of stay: 2 nights in low and mid season, 7 nights in high season

Our gîtes hold a 2-star rating (Atout France classification) and the 3-épis label (Gîtes de France).

How to book, step by step

1.    Choose your dates and your gîte in the booking tool below.

2.    Check the rate and availability shown in real time.

3.    Confirm your booking by paying a 30% deposit.

4.    Receive your confirmation by email, with all the practical information.

5.    Pay the balance 30 days before arrival.

Is the pool heated and open all year round?

The pool is covered and heated. It is open from Easter to All Saints' Day.

Is linen provided?

Linen is not included by default. You can bring your own, or choose our comfort option (beds made on arrival and bath towels provided): €12 per 90 cm bed, €19 per 160 cm bed.

Do you accept pets?

Yes, on request, with a surcharge of €3 per animal per day.

What are the arrival times and the minimum length of stay?

Check-in is from 4 pm and check-out before 11 am. The minimum stay is 2 nights in low and mid season, and 7 nights in high season.

Can you fish in the lake?

Yes! Fishing is free for children under 12, and €40 per adult for the whole stay, night fishing included.

Do you offer cancellation insurance?

Yes, two options: with supporting documents (4% of the booking amount) or without supporting documents (7% of the booking amount).

How does payment work?

A 30% deposit is required at booking, and the balance is due 30 days before arrival. A security deposit of €400 per gîte is required on arrival (cheque or credit card).

Can we come with a baby?

Yes, a baby kit is available on request (3 available free of charge).

Can we book the whole hamlet exclusively?
